   i think that its good that there bringing freddys back out but it should of been a proper new one though they should make more freddy and jason movies its about time cause some horrors that come out today are rubbish and not scary, bloody and gory enough i vote bring on more slashers oh yes.

    Freddy’s charisma and twisted sense of humor is part of what made him entertaining. I would hope ‘Bay’ would keep that intact….I couldn’t tell from this trailer.

    i think they should have brought old Wes Craven back to play freddy the voice he had with his street slain , and his shape all what made me scared of him in the first place. i thouhgt the next thing that would come with freddy in it would had been a rematch with him and jason that would had been the perfect come back. but because i am an true freddy and jason and michael myers and of course chucky fan i will be at the movies come this july 30,2010

    Jackie Earle Haley is a GREAT actor so, i’m sure he’ll do Freddy justice. I just hope that the producers and director made the film considering the thoughts of the FANS.

    What is it with you all who have slated the film before it’s even come out!
    How can you say it looks rubish? the original was full of bad effects and crap acting, so with technology we have now its obviously going to be better, and for the people who have been moaning about freddys new look, well DDEEERRRRR if they made him the same then it would be copying the original! Plus the old freddy wasnt scary (for people who were actually alive in 1984 then maybe) but his sense of humour just made him funny. Thank god they threw his sense of humour our in this new one.
    So i think this is goign to be better than the original. Theres some really good actors in this.

    Those of you who are leaving negative comments are such re-tards. First off the only to people who have played Freddy are Robert Englund and Jackie Earle Haley , NOT Wes Craven, who was the writer and director of the original film, and Johnny Depp, who played Nancy’s boyfriend in the original film. Second off no one other than the cast and crew truely know what Freddy looks like in this film. This only the trailer, some of you are assuming and know nothing and the movie comes out in over a month!! Third the one who left the comment about having the same scenes as the original……..REALLY?! Your the type of person who knows nothing about the film industry, but acts like they do. Your the type of person everyone wants to slap. Of course some of the killing scenes are gonna be the same, but the technology has gotten better since the 80s. Personally I would like to see some of the old killing scenes in this film just to see what it would look like. The scene with Tina and the bedroom was in the original and part of it shown in the trailer. We don’t know if she dies, it only showed lifting uo into the air above the bed, but it would look better in the remake. And last but not least the humor side of Freddy. It was not scary, yes at times it was funny, but—HELLO?—is it just me? I could have sworn this was a horror movie, not a lame a** comedy. Nothing is funny when a man in your dreams is trying to kill you! There are some lines that are acceptable, but like when he was in that video game with the towel not very scary, just ridiculous! This looks scary and that is what the fans want!! I am not assuming that the film would be great or a total disaster based on the trailer. So if anybody has anything negative to say about this film, don’t be suprised if I comment on how “assuming” you are. So be prepared and read up on the film a little bit better.
